Our core business at Micro Milling is the blending of fine aggregates including sand with cement to create a wide array of products with applications in construction and industrial use. It is this blending capability that enables us to produce customised products for other corporate entities who may have specific project needs. In this regard we can partner with any company desirous of making similar products.
Cost-efficient and time-efficient blending of dry granular aggregates enables us to produce your custom, proprietary formulas to exact specification. Further with our recent investment in additional plant capacity we are able to supply our current local and regional clients well into the future.
Furthermore, our in-house laboratory underpins our commitment to designing quality products and is also available to help analyze and perfect product formulations if necessary.
Special Purpose Custom Blends
Shell – Subsea Grout
Using our collective experience in the blending of fine aggregates with cement and other additives, we were able to produce 100,000 bags of customized subsea grout for the anchoring and support of subsea pipelines. Specifically formulated and produced for Shell they were able to use our specialized blending and packaging capabilities for their Pipeline Rectification project. This project helped ensure increased stability of Shell’s undersea network of pipelines used for oil and gas extraction.

Contract Manufacturing

Alternatively, we can manufacture on behalf of other companies, branded prepackaged products sand cement blended products that require significant volumes on a consistent basis. This type of contract manufacturing arrangement is also an area we are proud of as it not only does it ensure the contents of each bag are consistent and measured, but also removes the difficulty in bringing products of this type to market.
TCL recently partnered with us to introduce to the local and regional markets a prepackaged, ready to use plastering mortar designed for the region that helps eliminate the need to guess at ratios of sand and cement to produce a Type N mortar. Ideal for plastering walls this mortar is targeted to the small-scale contractors plumbers electricians and DIYers.
